【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverssolid,dry-cast,concretefacingbrickintendedforinteriorandexterioruseinconstructingstructuralandfacingmasonrycomponentsandaremadefromportlandcement,water,andsuitablemineralaggregateswithorwithouttheinclusionofothermaterials.Note1SpecificationC55addressesconcretebuildingbrickusedinnon-facing,utilitarianapplications(previouslyreferredtoinearliereditionsofSpecificationC55asGradeS-forgeneralusewheremoderatestrengthandresistancetofrostactionandmoisturepenetrationarerequired).ThisspecificationdiffersfromSpecificationC55inthatitincludesexpandedconsiderationforpropertiesofconcretebrickusedinfacingapplicationsandotherexposures(previouslyreferredtoinearliereditionsofSpecificationC55asGradeN-foruseasarchitecturalveneerandfacingunitsinexteriorwallsandforusewherehighstrengthandresistancetomoisturepenetrationandseverefrostactionaredesired).1.2Thetextofthisspecificationreferencesnotesandfootnoteswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthestandard.1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgivenparenthesesareforinformationonly.Note2Concretefacingbrickcoveredbythisspecificationaremadefromlightweightornormalweightaggregates,orboth.Note3Whenparticularfeaturesaredesired,suchasdensityclassification,highcompressivestrength,surfacetexturesforappearanceorbond,finish,color,fireresistance,insulation,acousticalproperties,orotherspecialfeatures,suchpropertiesshouldbespecifiedseparatelybythepurchaser.Suppliersshouldbeconsultedastotheavailabilityofconcretefacingbrickhavingthedesiredfeatures.
