【摘要】:Lubricatingoilscanbeformulatedwithadditives,whichcanactasdetergents,anti-oxidants,anti-wearagents,andsoforth.Someadditivescancontainoneormoreofcalcium,copper,magnesium,phosphorus,sulfur,andzinc.Thistestmethodcanbeusedtodetermineiftheoils,additives,andadditivepackagesmeetspecificationwithrespecttocontentoftheseelements.Thistestmethodcanalsobeusedtodetermineiflubricatingoils,additives,andadditivepackagesmeetspecificationwithrespecttochlorineconcentration.Inthiscontext,specificationcanrefertocontamination.Thistestmethodisnotintendedforuseonsamplesthatcontainsomecomponentthatsignificantlyinterfereswiththeanalysisoftheelementsspecifiedinthescope.Thistestmethodcancomplementothertestmethodsforlubeoilsandadditives,includingTestMethodsD4628,D4927,D4951,andD5185.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofcalcium,chlorine,copper,magnesium,phosphorus,sulfur,andzincinunusedlubricatingoils,additives,andadditivepackagesbywavelengthdispersiveX-rayfluorescencespectrometry.Matrixeffectsarehandledwithmathematicalcorrections.1.2Foreachelement,theupperlimitoftheconcentrationrangecoveredbythistestmethodisdefinedbythehighestconcentrationlistedin.Samplescontaininghigherconcentrationscanbeanalyzedfollowingdilution.1.3Foreachelement,thelowerlimitoftheconcentrationrangecoveredbythistestmethodcanbeestimatedbythelimitofdetection(LOD)(seealso40CFR136AppendixB)orlimitofquantification(LOQ),bothofwhichcanbeestimatedfromSr,therepeatabilitystandarddeviation.LODandLOQvalues,determinedfromresultsobtainedintheinterlaboratorystudyonprecision,arelistedin.1.3.1LODandLOQarenotintrinsicconstantsofthistestmethod.LODandLOQdependupontheprecisionattainablebyalaboratorywhenusingthistestmethod.1.4Thistestmethodusesregressionsoftwaretodeterminecalibrationparameters,whichcanincludeinfluencecoefficients(thatis,interelementeffectcoefficients)(GuideE1361),hereinreferencedasalphas.Alphascanalsobedeterminedfromtheoryusingrelevantsoftware.1.5SetupofthistestmethodisintendedforpersonstrainedinthepracticeofX-rayspectrometry.Followingsetup,thistestmethodcanbeusedroutinely.1.6ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorangstromunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:Thistestmethodisintendedtomeasurevolatileextractablesthatmaybeemittedfromamicrowavesusceptormaterialduringuse.Itmaybeausefulproceduretoassistinminimizingtheamountofvolatileextractableseitherthroughsusceptordesignormanufacturingprocesses.ModificationofthisprocedurebyutilizingappropriatequalitativeGCdetectionsuchasamassspectrometerinplaceoftheflameionizationdetectormayprovideidentificationofvolatileextractablesofunknownidentity.1.1Thistestmethodcoverscompletemicrowavesusceptors.1.2Thistestmethodcoversaprocedureforquantitatingvolatilecompoundswhoseidentityhasbeenestablishedandwhichareevolvedwhenamicrowavesusceptorsampleistestedundersimulateduseconditions.1.3Thistestmethodwascollaborativelyevaluatedwithavarietyofvolatilecompounds(seestatisticalevaluation).Forcompoundsotherthanthoseevaluated,theanalystshoulddeterminethesensitivityandreproducibilityofthemethodbycarryingoutappropriatespikeandrecoverystudies.TheanalystisreferredtoPracticeE260forguidance.1.4Forpurposesofverifyingtheidentityoforidentifyingunknownvolatilecompounds,theanalystisencouragedtoincorporatetechniquessuchasgaschromatography/massspectroscopy,gaschromatography/infraredspectroscopy,orothertechniquesinconjunctionwiththistestmethod.1.5Asensitivitylevelofapproximately0.025g/in.isachievableforthecompoundsstudiedin.Whereothercompoundsarebeingquantitatedanduncertaintyexistsovermethodsensitivity,theanalystisreferredtoPracticeE260forproceduresondeterminingsensitivityofchromatographicmethods.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Specificsafetyhazardswarningsaregivenin10.2,11.1,and11.6.
