【摘要】:Young''smodulusisafundamentalmechanicalpropertyofamaterial.Thistestmethodisusedtodeterminethedynamicmodulusofelasticityofrectangularshapes.Sincethetestisnondestructive,specimensmaybeusedforothertestsasdesired.Thistestmethodisusefulforresearchanddevelopment,engineeringapplicationanddesign,manufacturingprocesscontrol,andfordevelopingpurchasingspecifications.ThefundamentalassumptioninherentinthistestmethodisthataPoisson''sratioof1/6istypicalforheterogeneousrefractorymaterials.TheactualPoisson''sratiomaydiffer.1.1Thistestmethodcoversaprocedureformeasuringtheresonancefrequencyintheflexural(transverse)modeofvibrationofrectangularrefractorybrickorrectangularlyshapedmonolithsatroomtemperature.Young''smodulusiscalculatedfromtheresonancefrequencyoftheshape,itsmass(weight)anddimensions.1.2Units8212;Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.2.1AlthoughtheHertz(Hz)isanSIunit,itisderivedfromsecondswhichisalsoaninch-poundunit.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
